This recipe uses some of the best essential oils for muscle aches.

Lavender essential oil is anti-inflammatory making it great for a massage oil. It also contains calming properties which will help your muscles to relax right before bedtime.

Eucalyptus is a strong oil, also known to have powerful anti-inflammatory properties.

Peppermint essential oil is one of the earliest oils to be used medicinally. It soothes the lining of your skin, eventually making its way to tissue and muscles.

Lemongrass is used for its aromatherapy purposes. Surprisingly, just by smelling this oil, it can help to relieve muscle pain.

And the last ingredient is grapeseed oil.

Grapeseed oil is the most preferred carrier oil among massage therapists because of its light, satin-like finish. It also has less chance of staining sheets or clothing.

This is a light to medium Sore Muscle Massage Oil when it comes to scent potency. If you like a more warming effect when applied to the skin, add more essential oils than listed below. Make sure to still acquire a safe carrier oil to essential oil dilution percent.

Below I have included free labels that you can download, print, and use for your amazing creations.

  • I included 2 different sizes depending on the size of glass bottle you plan on using.
  • I use these Avery Full Sheet Stickers for all of my handmade health & beauty products.

Ingredients:

Directions:

Add all essential oils to your glass bottle.

With a funnel, fill the rest of the bottle with grapeseed oil.

Shake to mix ingredients.

This recipe fills a 4 fluid ounce glass bottle.

If you are using a 2 fl oz bottle, simply cut the recipe in half.

I want to remind you again that this is a light to medium Sore Muscle Massage Oil when it comes to scent potency. If you like a more warming effect when applied to the skin, add more essential oils than listed above. Make sure to still acquire a safe carrier oil to essential oil dilution percent.

I highly recommend only using a glass bottle for this recipe. Essential oils can often degrade plastic over time.

Also, use an amber or cobalt colored bottle to protect the essential oils from sun rays and heat.

Having this massage oil on hand for whenever life gets rough has been a lifesaver!

Apply, massage, relax, and feel the essential oils do their job naturally.
