This DIY Lemon Sugar Cookie Body Butter recipe also has shea butter, coconut oil, and sweet almond oil.

Each has AMAZING benefits for your skin.

Shea butter has a large healing fraction making it a natural way to treat many skin problems. Skin problems such as wrinkles, blemishes, dry skin, rashes, itching, insect bites and skin wounds.

On the other hand, coconut oil contains many saturated fats that are actually good for you!

Do you cook with coconut oil? It’s rising in popularity and something to think about if you’re trying to live a healthier lifestyle.

Sweet Almond oil is a common ingredient in homemade skincare products. Rich in vitamin A, almond oil is great for sensitive skin.

Other alternatives for sweet almond oil is jojoba oil, apricot oil, or grapeseed oil.

Are you wanting a lemon sugar cookie yet? I am!

Below I have included free labels that you can download, print, and use for your amazing creations.

  • I included 2 different sizes depending on the size of jar you plan on using.
  • I use these Avery Full Sheet Stickers for all of my handmade health & beauty products.

Ingredients

  • 115 g Shea Butter
  • 55 g Coconut Oil
  • 1 tsp Sweet Almond Oil
  • 12 drops Lemon Essential Oil
  • 10 drops Vanilla Essential Oil
  • Mica Powder (optional for color)

Directions

In a double broiler melt the shea butter, coconut oil, and sweet almond oil. I like to use a saucepan within a larger saucepan that’s filled with water. You can also use a glass bowl inside a saucepan filled with water.

Transfer ingredients into your mixer bowl and wait until the mixture partially solidifies. This can take up to an hour. Stick in the fridge for a faster drying time. It’s very important that you don’t let your mixture harden all the way. Refer to my pictures for reference.

If your whole mixture accidentally ends up being hard, just reheat the contents and repeat the steps above.

Add the essential oils and mica if you’re wanting a little hint of color. Start little with the mica until you get the color you desire.

Now it’s time to whip! Whip on high for 5-7 minutes. As you go along, you’ll notice the body butter start to expand and become fluffy.

Fill your jars or containers for a shelf life of 5 months.

Lather your DIY Lemon Sugar Cookie Body Butter into your skin and smell like a nice lemon cookie all day long!

Remember that this is a body butter which is naturally thicker than regular lotion. A little goes a long way.

This recipe makes about one 8-ounce jar.

Stick on a printable label I provide you and you have yourself the perfect gift anyone will love!
