A rose has two sides to it. Pretty and sweet. Thorny and exotic.
The aroma of this body butter really lives up to its name. Exotic.
With the main scent of rose, the also musky earthy aroma will catch you by surprise.
One can’t help but feel alluring when using this Exotic Rose Whipped Body Butter Recipe.
I also love using this on my face! Slab some on right before bedtime. When you wake up in the morning your face will feel smooth.
My other favorite time to use this body butter is right after the shower. The aroma makes me feel light and awake.
Although I don’t recommend rubbing on your body when you have to go to work in an hour.
It’s so luxurious and thick, it will need some time to soak into your skin. But once it does, your skin will be doing the happy dance.
Believe me! A little goes a long way.
If floral aromas aren’t your thing, try my Lemon Sugar Cookie Whipped Body Butter. You’ll be smelling like a sugary sweet cookie all day long!
Below I have included free labels that you can download, print, and use for your amazing creations.
- I included 2 different sizes depending on the size of jar you plan on using.
- I use these Avery Full Sheet Stickers for all of my handmade health & beauty products.
Ingredients:
- 115 g Unrefined Shea Butter
- 55 g Unrefined Coconut Oil
- 1 tsp Vitamin E Oil
- 1 tsp Arrowroot Powder
- 14 drops Rose Absolute Essential Oil
- 8 drops Patchouli Essential Oil
- 5 drops Soap Colorant (optional)
- 8 oz Jar
Directions:
In a double boiler, melt shea butter, coconut oil, and vitamin E oil. I like to use a saucepan within a larger saucepan filled with water. Refer to my picture below.
Transfer to your mixer bowl.
Wait until your mixture partially solidifies. You don’t want it to be fully hardened nor really silky. Right in the middle. If all of it happens to become solid, simply reheat and stick in the fridge for a faster drying time.
Add the rose and patchouli essential oils. Also, add the arrowroot powder.
Mixing time! Use an electronic mixer and mix on high for 5-7 minutes. I know this seems like a long time, but you’ll start to notice it expand and fluff as time goes on. Just what we want!
As this is mixing add the soap colorant if you wish to have a pinkish color to your body butter. I used about 5 drops of red dye to get a light pink color.
Scoop your mixture into an airtight glass jar for a longer shelf life.
This Exotic Rose Whipped Body Butter Recipe fills about one 8-ounce jar.
Lather into your skin and you’ll be feeling relaxed and pretty in no time!
Because there are no harsh chemical preservatives added to this natural body butter, the shelf life is about 6-8 months. But I really don’t think it’s going to even last you that long.
You’ll be wanting to use your Exotic Rose Whipped Body Butter every day!
If you have any questions about making your very own luxurious creation, please comment in the section below. I’m always happy to help!
